PSG preparing a revolution for hundreds of millions of euros – minus Messi and 4 transfers
PSG are not going to put up with this season’s disappointing results.
The Qatari bosses are prepared to allocate €225m in the summer to a major squad restructure, reports BeSoccer, citing L’Equipe. There is talk of signing four newcomers in three positions.
Centre of defence: Ramos and Klimpembe could leave the Parc de Prince, so 1 or 2 new defenders are needed. Top centre-backs from other Ligue 1 clubs – Todibo (Nice) and Disasi (Monaco) – are on PSG’s radar.
Midfield: The Spanish duo Ruiz-Soler are frankly unimpressive and risk leaving after their debut season. PSG have a huge interest in Kefren Thuram from Nice.
Offense: Messi’s departure is almost inevitable, so Mbappe and Neymar will need a new superstar teammate. The choice here is very wide – Kane, Osimhen, Kolo Mouani, David or Marcus Thuram, who could be picked up as a free agent.
Recall that PSG are on their way to winning Ligue 1, but remain Cup-less for the second year in a row and are relegated at the 1/8 final stage of the Champions League. Such results could well lead to the summer sacking of coach Christophe Galtier.
